Peggy Essex-Klammer is a retired music educator and counselor (30+ years from Miami Dade County Public Schools). Additionally, she was very active performer with several symphony and chamber orchestras in the Miami area. Recording sessions include the Bee Gees - Saturday Night Fever; Rod Stewart's greatest hits , and others. She has played shows with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Tina Turner, Paul Anka, Telly Savales, Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick, and many others.
Mrs. Essex-Klammer founded and performed with the Family Tradition Band (1983-1995), a popular country-rock band which performed throughout Miami Dade, Broward and Highlands Counties. Currently, she performs with the Heartland Symphony Orchestra, the Southern Ridge Band, the Baker Act, the Steve and Peggy Duo, and the Fiddle Pickin’ Band. Peggy is a multi- instrumentalist, playing viola, violin/‘fiddle’, guitar, bass guitar, and 5-string banjo.
In addition to performing, Mrs. Essex-Klammer is a private music instructor for violin, viola, cello, guitar, and banjo.
